Football Recap: River Islands Comes Up Short on the Road Against Waterford

River Islands kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They were dealt a 33-6 loss at the hands of the Waterford Wildcats.

Daryl Carpenter threw for 212 yards on 12 of 25 attempts. George Dayeh was his top target, picking up 77 receiving yards.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. River Islands will challenge Delhi at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Waterford, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will take on Beyer at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
