Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Foundation Academy

Foundation Academy won the last time they faced Geneva, and Alex Nichols did his part to make sure it happened again. The Foundation Academy Lions strolled past the Geneva Knights with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 68-51 thanks in part to Nichols, who went 6 for 12 en route to 15 points in addition to seven rebounds and six assists. His evening made it nine games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Michels, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine boards. He also grabbed five steals, which is notable because Foundation Academy is 11-2 when he posts at least five steals, but 2-4 otherwise.

The victory (which was Foundation Academy's third in a row) raised their record to 13-6. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.7 points per game. As for Geneva, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-6.

Foundation Academy has already played their next matchup, a 77-76 win against The First Academy on the 23rd. Geneva has also already played their next game (against Orlando Science), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
