Basketball Game Preview: Clinton Prairie Gophers vs. Rossville Hornets

Clinton Prairie has won 12 straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Rossville has won 12 straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Clinton Prairie Gophers will host the Rossville Hornets at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Clinton Prairie proved they can win big last Monday (they won by 41) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged Taylor out 49-47. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Gophers have posted since February 3, 2024.

Meanwhile, Rossville strolled past Fountain Central with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 57-42. Given the Hornets' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 205th, while the Mustangs are ranked 425th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Rossville's win came from a few key players Clinton Prairie will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Brayden Thiele-Hahn, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 14 points. He is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last six games he's played. Jordan Skiles was another key player, going 5 for 11 to rack up 12 points.

Clinton Prairie's victory bumped their record up to 15-2. As for Rossville, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.
