Basketball Recap: Dietrich Comes Up Short

Dietrich fought the good fight in their overtime match against Murtaugh on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 51-42 to the Murtaugh Red Devils. The Blue Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Red Devils apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2023.

Dietrich's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Murtaugh, they pushed their record up to 5-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dietrich will venture away from home to square off against Castleford at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Murtaugh, they will square off against Oakley at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Oakley will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Murtaugh surely won't give up without a fight.
