Baseball Recap: Neshaminy Beats Coatesville for Their Second Straight Win

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Neshaminy walked away with it. They beat the Coatesville Red Raiders on Thursday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Skins.

Matthew Gryn spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on seven hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Nick Sassano, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April.

Neshaminy's record is now 17-8. As for Coatesville, they dropped their record down to 19-7 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, Neshaminy will challenge North Penn at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. The Knights will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Skins surely won't give up without a fight. Coatesville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
