Baseball Recap: Brea Olinda Comes Up Short

Brea Olinda suffered their closest defeat since April 23, 2024 on Saturday. They fell just short of the Dana Hills Dolphins by a score of 3-1. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brea Olinda got a good showing from Jonathan Cruz, who pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the first time Cruz hasn't allowed a single hit since back in February.

On the hitting side, Brea Olinda saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Connor Perez, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Brayden Robinson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Brea Olinda's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Dana Hills, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-7.
