Basketball Recap: Durango's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Durango had won three straight games and Elijah Outlaw-Mcdaniels did his part to make it four on Thursday. The Durango Trailblazers breezed by the GV Christian Guardians to the tune of 71-25 thanks in part to Outlaw-Mcdaniels, who went 8 of 12 on his way to 23 points and eight rebounds. That's the most boards he has posted since back in January of 2024.

GV Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Thomas Pulcini, who posted six points and seven rebounds.

Durango has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for GV Christian, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Durango wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, an 80-46 victory against Doral Academy Red Rock on the 3rd. As for GV Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-32 loss against Upland on the 3rd.
