Softball Recap: Ephrata Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Ephrata waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Quincy Jackrabbits get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won six games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Haley Trusty made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Ephrata got a big performance out of Bailey Falconer, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Sidney Chornuk was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

The win got Ephrata back to even at 9-9. As for Quincy, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Ephrata beat the Jackrabbits by a score of 6-3 later that day.
