Softball Game Preview: Pelham Pythons vs. Sanborn Regional Indians

The Pelham Pythons will head out to face off against the Sanborn Regional Indians at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Pelham hasn't scored more than a single run for three games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

ConVal hit Pelham with a five-run third inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Pythons came up short against the Cougars, falling 13-1.

Sanborn Regional couldn't beat Kingswood on Monday even though they stacked four runs on them in the sixth inning. The Indians fell just short of the Knights by a score of 8-7. The Indians have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Hannah Lambert was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Makenzie White also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Sanborn Regional's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Pelham, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Pelham suffered a grim 14-2 defeat to Sanborn Regional when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Pythons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
