Softball Recap: Burlington Township Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Burlington Township dropped their record down to 14-5 on Saturday, which also ended the team's six-game streak of wins on the road. They fell 4-1 to the Robbinsville Ravens. The Falcons were not able to make up for their defeat to the Ravens from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Burlington Township saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddie Ent, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

As for Robbinsville, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.1 runs on average over those games.

On Robbinsville's side, Lexi Lopez made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Lopez has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 14 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one RBI.

In other batting news, Tuleen Ali was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Katie Murphy, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

While Burlington Township had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
