Volleyball Recap: Hazelwood East's Winning Streak Snapped at Six Games

If Hazelwood East was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of McCluer on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Spartans fell 3-1 to the Clayton Greyhounds on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spartans of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.

Hazelwood East started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 26-24, 25-11, 25-15.
