Soccer Game Preview: Alliance vs. Cloverleaf

The Alliance Aviators are taking a road trip to take on the Cloverleaf Colts at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Last Monday, Alliance and Copley finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw.

The Aviators' goal came courtesy of Royhal Hawkins, who's now up to 14 this season.

Meanwhile, Cloverleaf lost 4-1 to Streetsboro on Wednesday. Cloverleaf have struggled against Streetsboro recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Cloverleaf's loss dropped their record down to 8-6-1. With that draw, Alliance's record moves to 5-8-4.

Alliance might still be hurting after the 4-0 defeat they got from Cloverleaf in their previous matchup back in August of 2023. Can the Aviators avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
