Football Game Preview: Desert Chapel Eagles vs. Vasquez Mustangs + How To Watch

Two dominant signal callers in Samuel Mourhess and Zack Van Ornum are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Desert Chapel Eagles will face off against the Vasquez Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Desert Chapel will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.

Desert Chapel is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took a 47-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of San Jacinto Valley Academy on Friday.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Vasquez, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 50-6 victory over Nuview Bridge. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won four matchups by 25 points or more so far this season.

Vasquez pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.0 points over those games. As for Desert Chapel, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Desert Chapel was dealt a bruising 41-6 loss at the hands of Vasquez in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Eagles, Nathan Sanchez (who rushed for 129 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
