Cypress Creek took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Cy-Fair, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Cougars had just enough and edged out the Bobcats 3-2 on Friday.

Cypress Creek was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 16-25, 25-27, 25-19, 15-3.

Cypress Creek's win bumped their record up to 24-19. As for Cy-Fair, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 19-19.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Cypress Creek is set to face off against their familiar foe Northbrook at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Cy-Fair will challenge rival Cypress Falls at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
