Baseball Game Preview: Riverside Rams vs. Willingboro Chimeras

The Riverside Rams will venture away from home to challenge the Willingboro Chimeras at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Riverside has three straight wins, Willingboro has eight straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Riverside proved they can win big on Friday (they won by ten) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Palmyra.

Meanwhile, Willingboro started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Burlington City. They lost 13-6 to the Blue Devils on Monday. While the Chimeras didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Blue Devils 4-0 in the first period.

Riverside pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 9.3 runs this season. As for Willingboro, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Everything went Riverside's way against Willingboro in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Riverside made off with a 14-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Riverside since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
