Blake Johnson put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in March on Monday. He struck out three batters over four innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). He has become a key player for Louisville: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 5-7 otherwise.

Even though Johnson couldn't lead Louisville over Archbishop Hoban, he won't have to wait long to try again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sadly, Johnson's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Leopards' five-game streak of wins at home. With the streak broken, Johnson and the Leopards surely have a bit of extra motivation heading into Tuesday's match.
