The Chambers Academy Rebels fought the good fight in their overtime game against the Edgewood Academy Wildcats on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 51-50 to the Wildcats. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Chambers Academy in their matchups with Edgewood Academy: they've now lost three in a row.

Edgewood Academy found their leader in underclassman Brock Whitt, who scored 13 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 blocks. That makes it two consecutive games in which Whitt has scored at least 25% of Edgewood Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Brody Whitt, who scored 10 points.

Chambers Academy now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Edgewood Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chambers Academy will take on Springwood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Springwood's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for Edgewood Academy, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Macon-East Montgomery Academy at 7:00 p.m. on December 8th.
