Baseball Game Preview: Blaine Borderites vs. Nooksack Valley Pioneers

The Blaine Borderites will square off against the Nooksack Valley Pioneers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Blaine's hitters haven't had much luck over their past four matches, but Monday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

Blaine's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Thursday's struggle, when Lynden Christian hitters got past them. The Borderites lost 11-1 to the Lyncs on Thursday. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Meanwhile, Nooksack Valley came up short against Lynden on Thursday, falling 16-3. The Pioneers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Colby Martin was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-1. Evan Brown also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
