Basketball Recap: Rocky Boy Comes Up Short

Rocky Boy lost against Fairfield back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Rocky Boy Northern Stars came up short against the Fairfield Eagles, falling 56-35. The contest marked the Northern Stars' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Fairfield's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Deron Lear led the charge by going 7-for-17 en route to 18 points along with five rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Travis Cartwright, who shot 63% from the field to rack up 12 points and five boards.

This is the second loss in a row for Rocky Boy and nudges their season record down to 13-10. As for Fairfield, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 22-2.

Rocky Boy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fairfield, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 74-68 defeat against Glasgow on the 8th.
