Pleasanton had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Axtell Wildcats 78-22. With the Bulldogs ahead 41-11 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Leading Pleasanton to victory were Brennan Lindner and Grady Riley. Lindner shot 61% from the field to rack up 22 points and eight assists, while Riley went 5-for-9 on his way to 11 points in addition to seven assists and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddox Boyd, who posted seven points along with six boards and three steals.

Pleasanton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-32 win against Arcadia/Loup City on the 5th. As for Axtell, they have also already played their next game, a 66-17 loss against Bertrand on the 5th.
