After three games on the road, East Chapel Hill is heading back home. They will take on The Chapel Hill Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. East Chapel Hill comes in on a streak of failing to score more than seven points in their last nine games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
East Chapel Hill fell victim to Riverside-Durham's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were outmatched by the Pirates on the road and fell 29-0.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 42 points the game before, Chapel Hill were a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They took a serious blow against Hillside, falling 41-6.
East Chapel Hill's loss was their ninth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 0-9. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 1.0 points per game. As for Chapel Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
East Chapel Hill suffered a grim 40-16 defeat to Chapel Hill in their previous matchup back in October of 2022. Thankfully for East Chapel Hill, Drew Allen (who rushed for 128 yards on only six carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
