Perry triumphant thanks to a strong effort from Lexenna Lee

The Perry Commodores had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Everything went their way against Fort Jennings on Friday as Perry made off with a 59-39 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Perry also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2022.

Lexenna Lee was the offensive standout of the match as she dropped a double-double on 17 points and 15 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Miauni Hall, who scored 8 points along with 3 steals.

Perry's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Fort Jennings, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.

Perry will head out on the road to face off against Celina at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fort Jennings, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Lima Central Catholic at 7:30 p.m.
