If Negaunee was feeling good fresh off their 96-20 takedown of Hancock last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Negaunee Miners were just a bucket shy of victory on Monday and fell 65-64 to the Houghton Gremlins. The Miners' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Negaunee's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Houghton, they pushed their record up to 13-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.
