Frontier Regional faced Greenfield in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Red Hawks came up short against the Green Wave, falling 17-4. The Red Hawks' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Frontier Regional saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ashley Taylor, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Another was Skyler Steele, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Frontier Regional's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-2. As for Greenfield, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.
