Kohler hadn't done well against Mishicot recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Blue Bombers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Indians. This was payback for the Blue Bombers, who suffered a 3-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Kohler took Mishicot into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-20, 25-23, 24-26, 19-17.

McKinley Cornielsen paced Kohler's offense, picking up 12 kills. Cornielsen got some help from Ava Erlien and her 35 assists. Finally, Cornielsen was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.

Kohler's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Mishicot, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.

Coming up, Kohler will challenge Howards Grove at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Mishicot, they will venture away from home to challenge Two Rivers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
