Softball Preview: Taylorville Tornadoes vs. Central A & M Raiders

The Taylorville Tornadoes will be playing at home against the Central A & M Raiders at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with five losses in a row, Taylorville finally turned things around against Athens on Thursday. Taylorville came out on top against Athens by a score of 8-5.

On the hitting side, Central A & M let Alana Harlow and Emma Snow loose on the outfield. Harlow went 2-for-3 with a triple, two RBI, and a run, while Snow scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Kayla McPeek was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

Taylorville's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-15. As for Central A & M, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a massive bump to their 13-9 record this season.
