Baseball Recap: Marist's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

After flying high against Gladstone last Thursday, Marist came back down to earth. The Spartans took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Scappoose Indians on Friday. The game marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Marist fell to 4-1. As for Scappoose, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.

Looking ahead, Marist is taking a road trip to face off against North Marion at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Scappoose, they have already played their next contest, a 14-4 victory against Warrenton on the 5th.
