Softball Game Preview: Centerville Elks vs. Wayne Warriors

For the second straight game, Centerville will face off against Wayne. The Elks will be playing at home against the Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Centerville will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

On Wednesday, Centerville was able to grind out a solid win over Wayne, taking the game 7-3.

Caitlyn Belcher spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on four hits and racked up ten Ks. Those ten strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

On the hitting side, Natalie Carr was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and four RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted over her last 12 matchups.

Centerville's victory bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Wayne, their loss dropped their record down to 6-11.
