Baseball Recap: Bad Axe Comes Up Short

Bad Axe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 14-1 to the Brown City Green Devils. The Hatchets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Green Devils apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.

Bad Axe saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan King, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one run. That stolen base marked the first that King has snagged this season.

Bad Axe's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Brown City, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Green Devils beat Bad Axe by a score of 12-2 later that day.
