Basketball Recap: Brian Lloyd's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Chestertown Christian Academy over Concord Christian Academy

While it was all tied up 21-21 at halftime, Chestertown Christian Academy was not quite Concord Christian Academy's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They fell to the Concord Christian Academy Minutemen 55-50. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Patriots players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brian Lloyd, who posted 23 points and eight steals. With that strong performance, Lloyd is now averaging an impressive 15.6 points per game. John Stoltzfus was another key player, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds.

It was another big night for Keavon Bailey - HS, who almost dropped a double-double on 26 points and nine boards for Concord Christian Academy. That's the most points Bailey - HS has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Gabriel Franco, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 15 points.

Chestertown Christian Academy's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-3. As for Concord Christian Academy, their record now sits at 3-5.

When Chestertown Christian Academy and Concord Christian Academy next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Chestertown Christian Academy will try to stop Calvary Christian Academy's three-game winning streak when the meet at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Concord Christian Academy will square off against Eastern Shore HomeSchool and their seven-game winning streak at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
