Volleyball Recap: Cape Fear Academy Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Cape Fear Academy waltzed into their match on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Liberty Christian Academy Heat by a score of 3-1.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 19-25, 25-17, 25-14.

Cape Fear Academy's offense was headlined by Frankie Osborne and Katherine (Kat) Zander, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Lila Hammer and her 31 assists. Zander was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

Despite the loss, Liberty Christian Academy had strong showings from Presleigh Padgett, who had 21 digs and five aces, and Sam Hearn, who had 22 assists and six digs.

Cape Fear Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Liberty Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Cape Fear Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Harrells Christian Academy on the 21st. As for Liberty Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Southeastern Christian Academy on the 22nd.
