Basketball Game Preview: Arvin Bears vs. Golden Valley Bulldogs

The Arvin Bears will head out to square off against the Golden Valley Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Last Tuesday, Arvin blew past Del Oro, posting a 51-24 victory.

Meanwhile, Golden Valley had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 51-25 margin over the Lions.

Arvin has also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 11-12 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.8 points per game. As for Golden Valley, they pushed their record up to 13-8 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Arvin strolled past Golden Valley when the teams last played two weeks ago by a score of 41-23. The rematch might be a little tougher for Arvin since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
