Recap: Dover Pirates vs. Central Arkansas Christian Mustangs
In what's become a running theme this season, the Dover Pirates gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They breezed by Central Arkansas Christian on the road to the tune of 62-30. Given Dover's advantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while Central Arkansas Christian is ranked 210th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Leading Dover to victory were Kenzie Mccrotty and Logan Young. Mccrotty scored 21 points along with six rebounds and three steals, while Young scored 20 points along with two steals and two blocks. Young hasn't dropped below 15 points for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Carley Nantze, who scored five points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Dover has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. As for Central Arkansas Christian, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-17.
Dover will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Baptist Prep at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th. Baptist Prep will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Central Arkansas Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Mayflower at 6:00 p.m. Mayflower has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 377 points over their last six matches.
