Football Game Preview: Sumner Spartans vs. Curtis Vikings + How To Watch

Sumner has gone 8-1 against Curtis recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Spartans will host the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Sumner's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Rogers 50-0. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Sumner had a senior duo take command as Lance McGee gained 84 total yards and Nate Donavan threw for 180 yards and two touchdowns on only 16 passes. McGee also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because the Spartans are 2-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Curtis and Emerald Ridge, and Curtis kept the tradition alive. The Vikings claimed a resounding 46-13 win over the Jaguars. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Vikings have posted against the Jaguars since September 28, 2018.

Curtis' win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Sumner, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
