Volleyball Recap: Phil Campbell Takes a Loss

Phil Campbell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hamilton Aggies. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bobcats of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Phil Campbell sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 24-26, 15-5.

Avery Cummings paced Phil Campbell's offense, picking up six kills. Cummings got some help from Roxi Molina and her 11 assists.

Phil Campbell's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Hamilton, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Phil Campbell didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Mars Hill Bible on the 23rd. As for Hamilton, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Belgreen on the 23rd.
