Recap: Ontario Christian Knights vs. Aquinas Falcons

The Ontario Christian Knights struggled with assists on Tuesday (the Aquinas Falcons had seven more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Ontario Christian fell 51-40 to Aquinas. Ontario Christian has not had much luck with Aquinas recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

When it comes to explaining why Ontario Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Alex Yang. Despite the final result, he scored 20 points. Cole Jones was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds.

Aquinas found their leader in underclassman Daniel Wol, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 19 rebounds. Wol continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Bol Dhieu, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds.

Ontario Christian's loss dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Aquinas, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-10.

Ontario Christian will look to defend their home court on Friday against Arrowhead Christian at 7:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Arrowhead Christian is ranked 262nd, while Ontario Christian is ranked 243rd). As for Aquinas, they will head out on the road to square off against Woodcrest Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Woodcrest Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six games -- so hopefully Aquinas likes a good challenge.
