Palatine made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Prairie Ridge, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Pirates blew past the Wolves 7-1 on Tuesday. The game marked the Pirates' most dominant win of the season so far.

The team relied heavily on Joe Riley, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Toby Peterson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

The victory (which was Palatine's third in a row) raised their record to 5-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Prairie Ridge, with the loss, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-2-1.

Looking ahead, Palatine will head out to take on Ridgewood at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Prairie Ridge, they will host Grayslake Central at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Rams' pitching crew has only allowed one run per game this season, so the Wolves' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
