Baseball Recap: Belmont Comes Up Short

Belmont came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 19-9 to the Arlington Spy Ponders. The Marauders haven't had much luck with the Spy Ponders recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Belmont's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Arlington, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season.

Belmont will face off against Westport at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Arlington, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Beverly at 4:15 p.m. on Saturday.
