Volleyball Recap: Mundelein Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Mundelein had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Zion-Benton Zee-Bees by a score of 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 last Saturday.

Mundelein easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-12.

Kevin Mann paced Mundelein's offense, picking up ten kills. Mann got some help from Zack Nocera and his 20 assists. Nocera was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Mundelein pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Zion-Benton, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Mundelein will host Stevenson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Zion-Benton, they will take on Niles North in a tournament on Friday.
