Basketball Recap: Holmen Makes It 11 in a Row at Home

There's no place like home for Holmen, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 63-60 win over the New Richmond Tigers on Saturday. The victory continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won three in a row.

Kaiden Wilber continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 7 of 11 en route to 17 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Bartels, who went 5 for 11 on his way to 15 points.

Holmen pushed their record up to 12-4 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.5 points over those games. As for New Richmond, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-10.

Holmen didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 75-73 victory against Tomah on the 3rd. As for New Richmond, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 64-60 loss against Eau Claire North on the 4th.
