Softball Recap: Cape Henry Collegiate Takes a Loss

If Cape Henry Collegiate was feeling good fresh off their 19-3 takedown of Pallotti last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Cape Henry Collegiate took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Isle of Wight Academy Chargers on Monday.

Kendall Isenberg made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last eight games she's played dating back to last season. Annalisa Squatrito also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Cape Henry Collegiate's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Isle of Wight Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cape Henry Collegiate is headed away from home for the first time to challenge Peninsula Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Isle of Wight Academy, they will challenge Windsor at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
