Jake Diaz posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Thursday. He struck out three batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one hit in five consecutive appearances.
