Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Copper Canyon). They walked away with a 3-1 win over the North Canyon Rattlers on Friday. The Aztecs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Rattlers, too.

The victory made it two in a row for Copper Canyon and bumps their season record up to 2-2. As for North Canyon, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Copper Canyon will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Westview at 6:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025. After both having extra time off, North Canyon and Lake Havasu will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another at 6:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025. North Canyon is facing Lake Havasu at the right time seeing as Lake Havasu is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
