Football Recap: Timpanogos Timberwolves vs. Provo Bulldogs
If Timpanogos was riding high fresh off their 68-40 takedown of Uintah last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Timberwolves were beaten by the Provo Bulldogs 61-24 on Friday. The Timberwolves have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Timpanogos still got an impressive performance from Andrew Hillstead, who threw for 399 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also punched in one score on the ground. Shane Eaquinto was another key player, picking up 106 receiving yards and one TD.
Even if they lost, Timpanogos' defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Jesse King refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself. Timpanogos got some further help from King: he picked up 1.5 sacks, forced one fumble, and made seven total tackles (4.0 for loss).
Gehrig Orchard produced another solid performance throwing for 440 yards and seven touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes for Provo. That's the most passing yards Orchard has posted since back in October of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Ronnie Wright, who picked up 218 receiving yards and a pair of scores.
Timpanogos now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Provo, the win made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 3-4.

The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 974 yards in their previous games. Meanwhile, Provo is set to square off against their familiar foe Park City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
