Ohio Top 25 high school boys basketball rankings: St. Vincent-St. Mary moves to No. 2 after big win

The Fighting Irish knock off No. 7 McKinley to move up a spot; St. Edward remains No. 1.

St. Vincent-St. Mary moved from No. 3 to No. 2 in the MaxPreps Ohio state boys basketball rankings after a big 71-66 win over No. 7 McKinley last week.

Malaki Branham had 25 points leading the way for the Fighting Irish (16-4), offsetting a big performance from Twan Williams (27 points) of McKinley, which actually moved up a spot from No. 8 last week.

St. Vincent-St. Mary moved past previous No. 2 and now No. 3 Archbishop Moeller, which won its only game last week.

St. Edward remained at No. 1 with two wins, including a 93-61 victory over Lakeside.



Pickerington North (No. 9) and Boardman (No. 10) both moved into the Top 10 from the No. 11 and No. 13 spots.

Sixth-ranked University (Morgantown, WV) is included in the Ohio rankings by the MaxPreps computer because it is a member of the Ohio Valley Athletic Conference.
