Softball Game Preview: Vinton Lions vs. East Beauregard Trojans

The Vinton Lions will square off against the East Beauregard Trojans at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Vinton made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Lacassine, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Lions put the hurt on the Cardinals with a sharp 12-2 victory on Tuesday. That looming 12-2 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Lions yet this season.

Meanwhile, East Beauregard had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They had just enough and edged out Pickering 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Trojans have posted against the Red Devils since March 4, 2017.

Vinton's victory bumped their record up to 5-15. As for East Beauregard, their win bumped their record up to 6-14.
