Valor Christian has gone 7-1 against Mountain Vista recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Eagles will host the Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. This will be Valor Christian's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.

Valor Christian is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Colorado's top teams: Ralston Valley, who was ranked second at the time (Valor Christian was ranked third). The Eagles came up short against the Mustangs on Friday, falling 38-14. The matchup marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Mountain Vista strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They breezed past Overland to the tune of 62-6. With the Golden Eagles ahead 49-0 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

A big part of Mountain Vista's win came down to the chemistry between Marquise Reese and his top target Brooklyn Bailey. Reese threw for 109 yards and three TDs while completing 80% of his passes while Bailey picked up 71 receiving yards and three touchdowns. What's more, Reese racked up 153.8 passer rating, the most he's had since back in August of 2024. Roman Cloos was in the mix as well, providing Mountain Vista with one score.

Mountain Vista received some extra help from Cloos, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Mountain Vista's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Valor Christian, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Valor Christian was taken down by Mountain Vista 62-21 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Eagles were down 41-21.
