Volleyball Game Preview: Crofton Warriors vs. Plainview Pirates

The Crofton Warriors will head out to take on the Plainview Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Crofton has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the match with seven straight losses, while Plainview will come in with four straight wins.

On Tuesday, Crofton came up short against Ponca and fell 2-0.

While Crofton was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-21, 27-25.

Despite the defeat, Crofton had strong showings from Macy Baker, who had five digs and four aces, and Karoline Schendt, who had eight digs and one assist.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Thursday Plainview sidestepped Twin River for a 2-1 victory.

Plainview's win bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Crofton, their loss dropped their record down to 6-12.

Everything went Crofton's way against Plainview in their previous matchup back in November of 2015, as Crofton made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
