Basketball Recap: LaMoille Gets the Win

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but LaMoille ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They managed a 79-75 win over the St. Bede Bruins. The Lions didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this victory makes it their second in a row.

LaMoille had a senior duo take command as Brayden Klein went 8-for-20 to rack up 24 points along with eight boards and seven assists and Tyler Billhorn dropped a double-double with 27 points and ten rebounds. What's more, Billhorn also racked up two blocks, the most he's had since back in December of 2024. Tate Sundberg was another key player, putting up eight points.

LaMoille was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive matches.

LaMoille's record is now 7-21. As for St. Bede, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-16.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. LaMoille will square off against Illinois Math & Science Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Bede, they will take on Henry-Senachwine at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Bede has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
