Basketball Recap: Norwich Free Academy Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Mercy

On Wednesday, Norwich Free Academy faced Mercy in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Norwich Free Academy Wildcats took a 46-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mercy Tigers. The Wildcats have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Norwich Free Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jordyn Bay-Kent, who posted six points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooke Stringer, who put up 11 points.
